Haldensee Winter Circuit

Lake Haldensee is beautifully nestled in the mountain landscape of the Tannheim Valley in Tyrol and is very easy to reach, especially for guests from the Allgäu. Between Grän and Nesselwängle, Lake Halden stretches across the entire width of the valley, has steeply sloping shores in the north and south and shallow banks in the east and west. The nutrient-poor body of water is a popular destination for recreation and leisure activities and impresses in summer with its sustainably heated lake bath. In winter, the lake sometimes freezes over and then allows for a hike or ski tour across the lake. But even if the ice cover is not thick enough, it is still wonderful to take the circular route around Lake Halden in winter, enjoy the views and take advantage of the refreshment stops along the way.
