A wonderful ascent in a pleasant gradient to the Resciesa area.
This 5 km long hiking trail leads from Ortisei downhill to the Resciesa area. The steep ascent requires a sure-footed mountaineer. This walk is very worthwhile because you are rewarded with an excellent view.

Start
Turn-by-turn directions
The starting point of the hike is the valley station of the Resciesa cable car. On the left side of the station you follow the Via Raschötz until you reach the junction Solaria. There you turn left and follow trail nr.10, which leads you in a longer ascent through the Rasciesa forest and then left to the Resciesa hut (2170 m, refreshment stop). The trail continues to the Außerraschötz summit (2281 m, summit cross) and to the Heilig Kreuz chapel (2198 m).

Public transport
Accessible by line 350 from Bolzano or Bressanone to the St.Antonius square in Ortisei.
Getting there
Reachable on foot from the centre of Ortisei.
Parking
You can park your car at the central car park in Ortisei or at the valley station of the Seceda or Alpe di Siusi cable car.
