Up the Stevia Mountain/Stevia High Alpine Pasture

This panoramic circular tour with numerous nice places to stop for refreshments leads us in the face of the striking Geisler peaks to the local mountain of the Steviahütte. After the ascent with the cable car, we start on the Col Raiser and hike past the Regensburger Hut into the Cislestal valley. We leave the valley floor and climb up a steep zigzag path equipped with wooden stairs, steps and wire ropes to the La Pizza-Scharte. From the saddle we follow a trail over grassy slopes up to the 2555 m high summit of the Stevia Mountain (also Monte Stevia), where a magnificent panorama of the mountains of the Inner Val Gardena awaits us. Across the grassy south-eastern flank of the Stevia Mountain we finally reach the Stevia Hut, which is situated high above the Langental valley and offers great views. Now the trail climbs along steep wall breaks up to the St. Sylvester-Scharte. Beyond the saddle, we descend through a steep gully and reach the Juac Hut through beautiful stone pine forest.
