This classic hike runs across the steep Forcella Piza to Alpe Stevia, where you can catch a unique view to the Cir peaks. Afterwards, you can take a look at the giant sundial by the artist Roland Moroder at the Alpe Juac.

Turn-by-turn directions

Kick off this excursion at the Col Raiser gondola’s mountain station. The path develops on a light climb to the Regensburger hut, gradually becoming steeper on a gravel col to Forcella Piza. From here, continue hiking across lush, green mountain meadows to the lower Stevia mountain pasture. Continue across Forcella San Silvestro downhill to the Juac mountain pasture. Continue on a wide forest path to reach the gondola’s valley station.

Getting there

The starting point is the valley station of the cable car Col Raiser, which is located in the municipality of Selva Gardena, but is not far from the centre of S. Cristina. It can be reached by internal shuttle buses or by car (chargeable parking on site).
