From the entrance of the Vallunga, walk uphill until the Puez hut. On the other side you can walk back to the Vallunga valley.
The Vallunga is the entrance to the Naturepark Puez - Odle. It lasts a few km and it's in the middle of woods and mountains. The valley has a flair of quiteness and calmness, which you can enjoy during a walk in the valley. The Puez hut is located right in the middle of the nature parc, it's also possible to spend a night in the hut.

From Selva Val Gardena you reach the entrance of the Vallunga, the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along path n. 14 you walk through the whole valley into the Naturepark Puez Odle. You arrive at the San Silvestro chapel, where you can enjoy the peaceful nature on benches. Continue along path n. 14 until you reach the Pra da ri plateau. The tree line is about 1900 m where you slowly reach the mountains. From here you follow the signs to the Puez hut (2475 m), from here you can admire the impressive moon landscape. After a refreshment in the Puez hut, you can go back down to the Vallunga along trail n. 2. At a crossroads, turn left along path n. 16. The return path from here is the same as the ascent. The path descends gently, first crossing a stream bed through woods, later over mountain meadows. This takes you back to the entrance to the Vallunga.

Public transport
With the bus 357 from Selva Val Gardena you can reach the Vallunga valley.
Getting there
On the main road "Mëisules" of Selva Val Gardena, you pass the tourist office and turn left on the next street to Dantercepies. This road leads to the parking lot of the Vallunga.
