The circular hike around the world-famous Rosengarten massif offers both fantastic vantage points and cosy places to stop for refreshments.
In the heart of the Dolomites, the hike takes us from the Paolinahütte to the Rotwandhütte. Via the Cigolade Pass and the Tschagerjoch we then reach the beautifully situated Rosengarten Hut, which offers us a breathtaking view. The impressive Rosengarten consists of rugged dolomite rocks and large geranium fields that rise high above the gentle alpine landscape. According to legend, the petrified garden of the dwarf king Laurin is located on the rock massif. His roses are said to be visible neither during the day nor at night; only in the twilight do they become visible in their bright red colour. The alpine glow on the bright, steep rock faces at sunset is a fascinating spectacle of nature even today. Up to the top of the mountain.
